Blast off!
This Saturday(08/20/05) at sunset, Hunter S. Thompson's ashes will be blasted out of a cannon, paid for by Johnny Depp. Actually, I believe it's gonna be a fireworks display.
I for one would love to be at this "memorial." However, I WILL have a drink or several for the good doctor this Saturday. RIP you crazy bastard.

It's definintely too late now, haha. Anyway, it took place on his ranch in Aspen, CO.
I thought Wes was going to cry when I gave him his poster. It just happened to arrive on Saturday.
