Golf

I'm getting the fever again for this money-pit of a sport. I went to the driving range yesterday and actually hit the ball pretty good, considering it's been a while since the last time I hit a ball. It also helps to know some people who are somewhat serious about playing, that way I don't have to play alone. I still need a lot of practice to get back where I once was.

For those who don't know, I once frequented the golf courses of upstate South Carolina. For I was MVP of the high school golf team. Then I graduated, started partying and started taking guitar lessons. That was 10yrs. ago, I've probably played less than 20 rounds since then.

For whatever reason, I've been watching a lot of golf on tv and playing Tiger Woods 2005 on playstation. Plus, these guys are always talking golf and I want to get out on the course and beat the fuck out of them. Make them recognize and shit. Because I know I can.

Anyway, I need to practice, which I don't mind at all, it gets me off of the couch and outside. I've also been somewhat uninspired with my guitar playing, don't know why. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.

  • I love golf but haven't played in about a year. I only started playing about 3 years ago.

Never was any good but just loved it. Since I bought the house though I just haven't had the money or the time.

  • The weather was too bad to play this weekend, although I did hit the whiffle golf ball around the front yard. Man it's nice to actually have a yard now. Anyway, the best time to play is in the fall.

Robin, it's "cakes" not cake. You're a few years behind;-)
