NYC
Lynn and I have decided to take a trip to the city that never sleeps. I'm really looking forward to this since I've never been. We'll be staying for 4 nights and 5 days. We've got our plane tickets and we will be staying here http://www.newyorkerhotel.com/
I know for sure I want to visit Strawberry Fields in Central Park and The Dakotas to pay tribute to John Lennon. I also want to visit the CBGB http://www.cbgb.com/ We'll probably try to catch a Broadway show, and hopefully a Conan O' Brien show as well.
Other than that, I'm not sure what else we're going to do. If any of you guys have suggestions on some must see sites in the big apple, please let me know.

NYC is one of my favorite places on earth. I really wish now instead of wasting 2 years in Vermont I would have tried to find a gig in NYC.
Just quickly thinking but...
* Empire state building
* Harlem. No seriously. If you are there on Wed. try to catch the amateur night at the Apollo. It's great.
* Chinatown. Good food and cheap souvenir shops.
* Take the Staten Island ferry. It's free and you get a great view of the city and the Statue of Liberty.
* SoHo has some neat shops and good coffee shops.
* Greenwich Village... where Dylan started out.
If you are going to try to catch Conan go ahead and get tickets. They are hard to come by day of show.
I've never been to a broadway show 'cuz that's not my style. But... there is a ticket boot in the middle of Times square where you can get good deals day of show. I had some friends get into Rent pretty cheap that way.
I dig museums... and if you do there are tons of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, Guggenheim.
And just for kicks... go check out the New York Public Library. It's neat inside... plus they filmed a lot of the original ghostbusters there.
Sort of morbid but I've been wanting to get back up there to see the World Trade Center memorials. Just to pay my respects I guess.
If I think of other stuff I'll post it here.

Man I'm dying to get up there and check the Vanguard and Birdland. Never had a chance to before on my previous trips.
Hell let's just all go up there. American Aquarium Drinkers unite in NYC! That would be on like Donkey Kong.

I'm all about some jazz clubs, that'd be great! Hell yes you guys should come up. Plane tix were only like $150 a pop from GSP. I've got a # for Conan tix, I'm gonna call it tomorrow to see if I can score.
Thanks for all the tips, if you guys come up with some more ideas, pass 'em on!
